As promised, Motorola today introduced the Edge 40 in India. It comes in Jet Black, Reseda Green, and Coronet Blue colors in a single 8GB/256GB configuration priced at INR29,999 ($360/€335). The smartphone will go on sale starting May 30 through Flipkart and Motorola’s official Indian website, with those pre-ordering it on Flipkart getting free screen damage protection worth INR9,500 ($115/€105).

The Motorola Edge 40 is powered by the Dimensity 8020 SoC and runs Android 13 out of the box. It’s built around a 6.55″ 144Hz FullHD+ OLED screen with a centered punch hole for the 32MP selfie camera and a fingerprint reader underneath for password-less phone unlocking.

The back panel of the Motorola Edge 40 – which is made of acrylic plastic on the Coronet Blue model and has a vegan leather finish on Jet Black and Reseda Green versions – sports a 50MP primary camera (with OIS) and a 13MP ultrawide unit.
